The recently promoted Deputy Comptroller (DC) UA Madugu is regarded by many as a highly dedicated officer of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), a delight to watch as he progresses in his professional calling within the service.
He is as well be regarded as a hardworking and highly responsible officer of customs who have cut his teeth in some technical formations of the Nigeria Customs Service and leaving indelible footprints.
His capabilities and competences at these units he held sway as Officer in Charge have endeared him to many especially his immediate bosses and notable stakeholders who revered his on the work intelligence and brilliance.
A gentle but firm and decisive customs officer of no mean repute, DC Madugu has put up spirited performance in different position he held sway at the Non- Intrusive Inspection Unit (NIIU) under Apapa Area One Command of the Nigeria Customs Service, popularly referred to as Scanning unit, where his intellectual capacity and on the job knowledge has over time improved revenue performance for the command and service at large since his deployment.
He had previously served as Staff Officer of the unit, and was later elevated position-wise to become the Manager In Charge of Operations and Assistant Controller of NIIU with the rank of Assistant Comptroller of Customs (AC), before his recent promotion to the rank of Deputy Comptroller of Customs (DC), which led to his elevation to eventually become the overall Head of the highly coveted Unit as DC Scanning by virtue of his vast experience and exposure to the workings and operations of the technical unit.
From his brief profile, Deputy Comptroller UA Madugu who hails from Chan Chaga Local Government Area in Minna, Niger State, is a BSc graduated of political science from Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), as well as Masters (MSC) in International Law and Diplomacy.
He enrolled to join the Nigeria Customs Service as Assistant Superintended in 2009, and underwent the compulsory Training College at Ikeja in same year.
Madugu has undergone several local and international courses in the course of his duty, and his hobbies include meeting new friends/interaction, as well as football.
He is happily married with kids and has undergone several local and international training
