Renowned Traditional Ruler, Kanwan Katsina hails Katsina Govt for vibrant Health Policies

For several vibrant health policies that have brought about positive health development among the people, the Katsina State Government has received worthy commendations, as the various Health policies and programs being introduced are currently given it’s desired implementation within the state.
Among the introduced programs include immunization TV campaigns against measles, polio, malaria, and other six child killer diseases, as well as antenatal care services, among others.
This commendation was however contained in a statement signed by his Media Aid, Sarkin Labarun Kanwan Katsina Jamilu Hashimu Gora and made available to newsmen in Katsina.
According to the statement, highly revered Kanwan Katsina, Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara mni disclosed that the health officials of Kankara Local Government requested for his cooperation and assistance for the success of the exercise in Ketare District when they recently paid him an advocacy visit in his palace and discussed the immunization exercise in the Local Government.
Following this advocacy visit, the Kanwan Katsina District Head of Ketare directed all the village and ward heads in Ketare District to commence a robust campaign to ensure the success of the immunization exercise. Similarly the District head directed Imams in the district to enlighten their faithfuls on the need to ensure success of the ongoing immunization exercise in Friday sermon and five daily prayers.
Meanwhile, the Kanwan Katsina however urged parents to ensure that their children are properly immunized, emphasizing the importance of routine immunization and antenatal care, particularly for mothers in rural areas.
The statement further explains that people should use mosquito nets distributed effectively in their homes to prevent malaria, cautioning against the misuse in farmlands.
Furthermore, the Kanwan Katsina Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara mni Express satisfaction with the new centers opened in Ketare District for the distribution of nutritious food to combat malnutrition, and called on the communities to continue supporting government policies and programs for the betterment of their health and wellbeing.
