TinCan Customs Decorates Promoted Officers amid Cheers

Just as the decoration breeze is blowing across several formations of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), the TinCan Island Area Command of Nigeria Customs Service, have joined its counterpart to decorate recently promoted officers of the command.
For the new Customs Area Controller (CAC) of the command, Comptroller Frank Okechukwu Onyeka who was recently decorated with his full Comptroller of Customs rank in Abuja, it was an honour to be part of history.
The CAC who alongside his management team were in ground during the decoration exercise congratulated those that were elevated to their next rank even as he encouraged those who are yet to been promoted, that their day to shine and be promoted shall come, as promotion comes from God only.
Furthermore in his address, he revealed that the Comptroller-General of Customs and his team in their magnanimity have pledged that every officer under his watch shall be happy. To this he noted that’s “As part of our mandate, we want to generate revenue without any kind of blemish and we also intend to engage everyone to support us in achieving this objective and others too. “I would therefore urge us all to continue to play our part, be more dedicated and committed to the principles that guide the Nigeria Customs Service and strive to achieve the mandates as enunciated in the extant laws of Nigeria”.
The decoration exercise was along the line took charge of by the Deputy Comptroller Administration, Samuel Ariyibi, while the CAC moved on to continue the days task, with pile up assignment to undertake, and other scheduled for the day.
Over 20 officers from the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Customs II to the Assistant Comptroller of Customs were decorated in the full glare of some of their families, friends and well-wishers, amid cheers.
