Osagie, Abe, Faithwin, Kumuyi, Ahmedu elevated in NIMASA’s Performance-Based Promotion

It was good news for the Nigeria Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) Public Relations officials when the agency recently released the list of its promoted officials across various departments through performance based methodology.

The process saw the PR Unit had its fair share as the head of the unit, and, Mr. Edward Osagie, a refined Image Making face of the agency and his Assistant, Mrs Shelibe Abe in the media section both formally Assistant Directors got promoted to Deputy Directors, among several other officials of the department.

The promotion reward exercise, which is a clear demonstration of the agency’s commitment to rewarding excellence and strengthening strategic communications, also witnessed the promotion of several key personnel of the Unit rewarded.

They include Mebude Olubusola who was promoted to Chief Officer level, Ahmedu Edeh Elevated to Principal Officer, and Femi Kumuyi Now Assistant Chief Officer.

Others are Faithwin Nwogu elevated to Assistant Chief Officer and Paul Ocheme who got promoted to the next level new promotion.

The wave of well-deserved recognitions within the Public Relations team was well applauded within by industry watchers especially in the media circle who believed they have been up and doing in the PR administration of the agency over the years and deserved the long awaited promotion.

The press release statement noted that NIMASA has a performance – based reward system, with promotions being part of this system to encourage excellence.

Similarly, the agency as well recognises the need to motivate staff and acknowledges that promotions are reward for hard work and  qualification for higher responsibilities, the reason why the latest promotion is part of the broader effort to recognise and reward staff contributions and motivate them to improve on their performances.
