As the breeze of promotion envelope the atmosphere of the Nigeria Customs Service, there tends to be some whose promotion elicits special commendations.

One of such is NI Miko, a Kano State Born Officer of Customs, who has now attained the rank of a Deputy Comptroller of Customs in the recent promotion exercise, and an officer whose decorations drew huge accolade and ovation.

The progression of recently promoted Deputy Comptroller NI Miko is indeed a delight to witness by many officers of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), as well as industry watchers who knew the technical capability of the fine officer of customs with requisite experience at the helms of affairs of the command’s Revenue unit, and who had for some years now become one of the major unseen hands in the revenue collection trajectory of Apapa Premier Command.

The newly promoted Deputy Comptroller NI Miko who rose through the ranks from the command’s IT (CPC) unit and presently the DC In Charge, is indeed one of the special officers of the Apapa Premier Command who had served brilliantly under several Area Controllers and they at most often times took turn to commend the effort of the admirable officer on the revenue successes being recorded at the command, while their tenure lasted.

They also recalled various selfless service of Miko and his likes and how some of his advice has brought fortunes to the command, as they noted that efforts of his likes had assisted the command to enhance its revenue performance and contributory to attaining the unprecedented trillions naira collection, as they urged other officers to emulate attributes of the likes of Miko in order to rise above their contemporaries.
