Port-Harcourt Area II Customs Records Historic All-Time High Monthly Revenue Collection of N76.07Bn in October

It was a historic revenue collection feat for the Port- Harcourt II Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), as the command has achieved a landmark milestone with a record-breaking revenue collection of N76,075,447,369.83 in October 2025 alone.

This achievement, according the the press release statement signed by the Command’s Public Relations Officer CSC Theophilus Duniya, marks the highest monthly revenue in the Command’s history, highlighting the impact of decisive leadership and unified collaboration within the Command under the watch of the Customs Area Controller (CAC) Comptroller Aliyu M Alkali.

The statement however attributed the record-breaking performance to the deliberate and conscious stakeholder engagement spearheaded by Comptroller Aliyu Alkali, noting that was achieved through the ongoing dialogue with stakeholders and consistent engagement with unit heads, emphasizing the importance of facilitating legitimate trade, compliance and adding value to the Command’s operations.

The statement also said that initiatives of the command’s leadership have significantly contributed to the improved revenue performance, as the exceptional performance underscores Comptroller Alkali’s unwavering commitment to national economic growth through effective revenue generation, enforcement of compliance with international trade regulations and facilitating legitimate trade.

Another innovative leadership stance of the command, is the fact that the Customs Area Controller strategically deployed officers to their current beats based on operational needs, ensuring optimal resource allocation and efficiency across the Command, and this proactive measure has enhanced the Command’s capacity to meet and exceed its monthly revenue targets.

However, Comptroller Alkali expressed his gratitude to all the port’s stakeholders, importers and licenced agents and all the officers and men of the Command for their patriotism, synergy, and commitment to working together towards this historic achievement. He as well encouraged all stakeholders to sustain this momentum and strive for even greater accomplishments in the coming months.

“This milestone is a testament to what we can achieve through effective teamwork, and dedication to national development. We shall continue to strengthen our system to sustain this momentum”, Comptroller Alkali stated.
